About Us

When my first daughter was born she was a very high needs baby.  I bought a snugli from my local baby store and tried to put her in it.  I did this in hopes that I would be able to wear her and be able to do things that needed to get done in my daily life while still tending to her needs.  She hated it and cried everytime I tried to put her in it.  After a few tried with her having a fit being in such an unnatural thing I gave up and carried her for sometimes hours a day.  I had numb arms and hands all the time because she was so heavy.  This continued until she walked and didn't want to be carried as much.

When I was pregnant with my second daughter I was determined not to let this happen again.  I went back to the store and discovered something called a padded ring sling that I hoped would be the solution to my second high needs baby. She was more accepting of this and I would carry her in it while she was asleep but the second she woke up, even at three weeks old, she was crying to be out of this very hot carrier.

Then I discovered the wonderful world of babywearing that I know now.  This was the answer to all my baby carrying problems.  The carriers I found seemed more natural than the commercialized ones and were mostly made by working at home moms.  I bought my first real ring sling from a working at home mom but found it to be a boring color and not very attractive.  It definately got the job done and made my little girl very happy.  After I did a lot of research I found that there weren't very many options to get a beautiful, colorful sling.  I have been sewing since I was a young girl and knew I could make slings so Loving My Babies  was created. Loving My Babies began because of my new passion and love for slings and other carriers and my love for trendy, beautiful fabrics.  I could not find a sling that I couldn't live without and I knew other mother's were probably having the same problem so I started making them.   I had two little girls and wanted flowers, butterflies and pink on everything.  My girlie fabrics received lots of compliments so I tried to find boy fabrics that were just as cute.   Once I decided to make these accessible to more than my friends and family I started my website and searched for my favorite products so I could sell everything I loved and needed for my girls.  I wanted to provide products that I learned about over the years of being a mommy and be a mini baby store.   A one stop shop for all your baby needs.  Most products were made by me at night while the girls and daddy were sleeping but due to the demand for my products I had to find help to keep up.  I found some ladies that help me with the sewing so I could make more time for babywearing classes.  With my discovery of the sling I found the need for someone to show me I was doing it right.  I found other moms that said they had given up on other slings because they were not sure how to use it.  I wanted to make sure every mom i meet is confident in their sling abilities and am ready to do it one sling, wrap, mei tai or pouch at a time.

Some products are made by other mommy owned companies that have the same passion for cute yet functional baby products that I do.  Thank you for checking out my site and I hope you find something you and your baby will love.
