1. What are the benefits of unpadded vs. padded slings. TOP
Padded slings often don't let you pull the sling as taunt as most
people like. This prevents you from getting into the most comfortable
breastfeeding position. The padding also tends to be hot for mother
and baby. Unpadded slings are also able to be used as a cover while
breastfeeding or a blanket. Most padded slings have a closed tail,
which means it is sewed shut and usually has a ring on the end, making
it impossible to cover anything. Both are just personal taste and
different styles but they are great because they are slings. 2. Are slings, mei tais, wraps and pouches good for any size caregiver? TOP Yes, almost all our carriers are custom made. Please read each
company's description to see if your style carrier is custom made and
contact us with the measurements to make a carrier designed for you.
If you have two people that are going to share a carrier you need to
measure the larger/taller person. If you have two very diferent sized
people you might want to consider your own carriers. Contact us for
our multiple items discount.
3. Is there a weight limit for the child in the carrier? TOP Yes, we usually say that the child can be in the carrier until they are
30-35lbs or the caregiver feels uncomfortable. I wear my 2 1/2 year
old, 37lb daughter in my sling in a back carry for shorter outings.
The owner of Angel Baby wears her 33lb son in her mei tai on her back.
She has even worn him in a wrap on her back and her daughter in a
sling in a cradle carry at the same time. Our carriers are here for
you to have extra arms. If you can carry your child you can wear your
child. I find it easier to distribute the weight in a carrier, hands
free, than to carry them in my arms.
